Adjective of Quality / गुणवाचक विशेषण

Noun की विशेषता, रंग, आकार, गुण, स्वभाव बताने वाले adjective।

🔹 Words: Big, Small, Clever, Red, Fresh, Strong, Beautiful

🔹 Examples:

• She is a beautiful girl.

He is strong.

Distributive Pronoun (प्रत्येक अलग-अलग)

➡ एक-एक कर बात करता है। (Individuals को दर्शाता है)

Words: Each, Either, Neither

📌 Examples:

• Each of the boys was rewarded. ✅ (Pronoun – ‘Each of’ के बाद noun नहीं सीधा आया)

• Each boy got a prize. ❌ (Adjective – ‘Each’ के बाद noun ‘boy’ है)

Abstract Noun (भाववाचक संज्ञा)

यह पहले भी आया है। ये वे नाम होते हैं जो हम महसूस करते हैं, लेकिन देख या छू नहीं सकते।
उदाहरणों को 4 भागों में बाँटते हैं:

• Feelings (भावनाएँ): Love, Anger, Hatred, Pain, Sorrow

• Qualities (गुण): Honesty, Bravery, Wisdom, Intelligence

• Ideas / Concepts (विचार): Success, Justice, Truth, Time

States / Conditions (अवस्था): Poverty, Freedom, Childhood

Abstract Noun (भाववाचक संज्ञा)

जिसे हम ना देख सकते हैं, ना छू सकते हैं, बस महसूस कर सकते हैं, वह Abstract Noun कहलाता है।
Examples: Anger (गुस्सा), Pain (दर्द)

Reciprocal Pronoun (परस्पर संबंध दिखाने वाले)

➡ जब दो या दो से अधिक लोग एक-दूसरे से काम करते हैं।

Words: Each other (दो के लिए), One another (दो से अधिक के लिए)

📌 Examples:

• Ram and Shyam respect each other.

We should help one another.

Countable vs Uncountable Noun

✨ Countable noun को a/an, many, few आदि के साथ प्रयोग करते हैं।
✨ Uncountable noun के साथ much, little, some, a lot of का प्रयोग होता है।

Collective Noun (समूहवाचक संज्ञा)

जो किसी समूह या झुंड को एक नाम से बताए, वह Collective Noun होता है।
Examples:

• Crowd (भीड़)

• Mob (उग्र भीड़)

• Team (टीम)

• Flock (पक्षियों का झुंड)

• Bouquet (फूलों का गुच्छा)

• Pride of lions (सिंहों का झुंड)
• Constellation of stars (तारों का समूह)

Adjective of Quantity / परिमाणवाचक विशेषण

Uncountable noun के लिए मात्रा (quantity) बताता है।

🔹 Common words:
Some, Any, Little, Much, Enough, All

🔹 Examples:

• I have some milk.

I don’t get much time to study.

Abstract Noun (भाववाचक संज्ञा)

यह पहले भी आया है। ये वे नाम होते हैं जो हम महसूस करते हैं, लेकिन देख या छू नहीं सकते।
उदाहरणों को 4 भागों में बाँटते हैं:

• Feelings (भावनाएँ): Love, Anger, Hatred, Pain, Sorrow

Gold, Iron, Wood, Cotton, Milk, Sugar, Water, Petrol, Ink

ये हमेशा Uncountable होते हैं (गिने नहीं जाते)।

Possessive Adjective / अधिकारवाचक विशेषण

Ownership या अधिकार दिखाते हैं। ये हमेशा noun से पहले आते हैं।

🔹 Words: My, Your, His, Her, Its, Our, Their

🔹 Examples:

• My house is big.

Their school is famous.

 Interrogative Pronoun (प्रश्नवाचक सर्वनाम)

➡ प्रश्न पूछने वाले pronoun होते हैं।

Words: What, Which, Who, Whom, Whose

📌 Examples:

• What is your name? (Pronoun)

• Which book do you want? (Adjective – noun "book" के साथ)

 Relative Pronoun (सम्बंधवाचक सर्वनाम)

➡ ये दो clauses को जोड़ते हैं और noun के बारे में जानकारी देते हैं।

Words: That, Which, Who, Whom, Whose

📌 Examples:

• The boy who came here is my friend.

• This is the book that I like.

• The girl whom we saw was tall.

⚠️ ध्यान दें:
Who / Whom / Which / What interrogative भी हो सकते हैं, लेकिन तब वाक्य प्रश्नात्मक होगा।

 Emphatic Pronoun (ज़ोर देने वाले)

➡ Subject पर जोर डालने के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है, लेकिन इसका कोई अलग काम नहीं होता।

Words: वही reflexive pronoun जैसे Myself, Himself आदि

📌 Examples:

• I myself don't agree.

• The teacher himself said it.

• They themselves did the work.

📌 Note: Reflexive & Emphatic pronouns दिखने में एक जैसे होते हैं, फर्क Sentence के काम से पता चलता है।

Countable vs Uncountable Noun

✨ Countable noun को a/an, many, few आदि के साथ प्रयोग करते हैं।
✨ Uncountable noun के साथ much, little, some, a lot of का प्रयोग होता है।

 Demonstrative Pronoun (संकेतवाचक सर्वनाम)

➡ ये किसी वस्तु या व्यक्ति की ओर इशारा करते हैं।

Words: This, That, These, Those, Such

📌 Pronoun vs Adjective:

• ✅ This is my house. (Pronoun – noun के बिना)

• ❌ This house is mine. (Adjective – noun "house" के साथ)

Adjective / विशेषण – 

🔸 Definition (परिभाषा):

Adjective वह शब्द होता है जो किसी noun या pronoun की विशेषता बताता है।
It describes a noun or pronoun – उसका रंग, आकार, मात्रा, संख्या, स्थिति, स्वामित्व आदि।

🔹 Examples:

• Fresh flowers – Fresh (adjective), flowers (noun)

• She is beautiful – Beautiful (adjective), She (pronoun)

This is useful – Useful (adjective), This (pronoun)

Collective Noun (समूहवाचक संज्ञा)

जो किसी समूह या झुंड को एक नाम से बताए, वह Collective Noun होता है।
Examples:

• Crowd (भीड़)

• Mob (उग्र भीड़)

• Team (टीम)

• Flock (पक्षियों का झुंड)

• Bouquet (फूलों का गुच्छा)

• Pride of lions (सिंहों का झुंड)

• Constellation of stars (तारों का समूह)

 Concrete Noun (ठोस संज्ञा)

जिसे हम देख सकते हैं या छू सकते हैं, वो Concrete Noun होता है।
Examples: Book, Pen, Stone, Water

Demonstrative Adjective / संकेतवाचक विशेषण

किसी noun की ओर इशारा करते हैं। इनके बाद हमेशा noun आता है।

🔹 Words: This, That, These, Those, Such, A/An/The

🔹 Examples:

• This book is mine. (This + noun = adjective)

• Such questions are silly.

• The pen is new.

🔹 Note:
अगर इन शब्दों के बाद noun नहीं है तो ये pronoun होते हैं।

Adjective of Quantity / परिमाणवाचक विशेषण

Uncountable noun के लिए मात्रा (quantity) बताता है।

🔹 Common words:
Some, Any, Little, Much, Enough, All

🔹 Examples:

• I have some milk.

• I don’t get much time to study.

Reflexive Pronoun (कर्म वही जो कर्ता)

➡ जब Subject और Object एक ही हों, तब इस्तेमाल होता है।

Words: Myself, Ourselves, Yourself, Himself, Herself, Itself, Themselves

📌 Examples:

• He hurt himself.

• We enjoyed ourselves.

You should help yourself.

Adjective of Number / संख्यावाचक विशेषण

Noun की संख्या (गिनती) या क्रम (order) बताते हैं।
👉 Countable Nouns के साथ ही प्रयोग होते हैं।

तीन प्रकार के होते हैं:

🔹 Examples:

• He had some apples.

• I have read several books.

This is my first car.

 Common Noun (जातिवाचक संज्ञा)

ये ऐसे नाम होते हैं जो सामान्य चीज़ों के लिए इस्तेमाल होते हैं — किसी व्यक्ति, जानवर, स्थान या वस्तु का आम नाम।
Examples:
Student, Child, City, River, Book

जैसे – "boy" एक common noun है, लेकिन "Rahul" proper noun है।

 Adjective / विशेषण – 

🔸 Definition (परिभाषा):

Adjective वह शब्द होता है जो किसी noun या pronoun की विशेषता बताता है।
It describes a noun or pronoun – उसका रंग, आकार, मात्रा, संख्या, स्थिति, स्वामित्व आदि।

🔹 Examples:

• Fresh flowers – Fresh (adjective), flowers (noun)

• She is beautiful – Beautiful (adjective), She (pronoun)

This is useful – Useful (adjective), This (pronoun)

Emphasising Adjective / बल देने वाले विशेषण

किसी बात पर जोर देने के लिए "Own" और "Very" का प्रयोग।

🔹 Examples:

• I saw it with my own eyes.

• This is the very place we met.

• These were his very words.

🔹 Note:

• Very + noun → adjective

Very + adjective/adverb → adverb

 Interrogative Adjective / प्रश्नवाचक विशेषण

प्रश्न पूछने वाले adjective, जिनके बाद noun आता है।

🔹 Words: What, Which, Whose

🔹 Examples:

• What book do you want?

Whose bag is this?

Distributive Adjective / बंटन वाचक विशेषण

एक-एक करके सभी को दर्शाते हैं।

🔹 Examples:

• Each student was ready.

• Every box was opened.

🔹 Note:
‘Every’ सिर्फ adjective होता है, pronoun नहीं।

 Noun (संज्ञा) क्या है?

Noun is a naming word.
संज्ञा वह शब्द है जो किसी व्यक्ति, वस्तु, स्थान, भावना या गुण का नाम बताता है।

 Interrogative Pronoun (प्रश्नवाचक सर्वनाम)

➡ प्रश्न पूछने वाले pronoun होते हैं।

Words: What, Which, Who, Whom, Whose

📌 Examples:

• What is your name? (Pronoun)

• Which book do you want? (Adjective – noun "book" के साथ)

Proper Adjective / विशेष नाम से बने विशेषण

Proper noun से बने adjective, जो देश, व्यक्ति, संस्कृति आदि दिखाते हैं।

🔹 Examples:

• I love Indian food.

He is a Gandhian thinker.

 Emphatic Pronoun (ज़ोर देने वाले)

➡ Subject पर जोर डालने के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है, लेकिन इसका कोई अलग काम नहीं होता।

Words: वही reflexive pronoun जैसे Myself, Himself आदि

📌 Examples:

Degree of Comparison / तुलना की अवस्था

Adjective तीन रूपों में आते हैं:

🔹 जिन adjectives में 2 से अधिक syllables हों, उनमें More / Most का प्रयोग होता है:

• Useful → More Useful → Most Useful

• Beautiful → More Beautiful → Most Beautiful

Examples:
Student, Child, City, River, Book

➡ ये किसी वस्तु या व्यक्ति की ओर इशारा करते हैं।

📌 Pronoun vs Adjective:

➡ किसी अनिश्चित व्यक्ति या वस्तु को दर्शाते हैं।

Words: Someone, Anyone, Nobody, Everyone, One, None, All, Some, Few, Many, etc.

📌 Examples:

• Somebody is waiting for you.

• Nobody knows the answer.

• Everyone was happy.

✅ अधिकतर singular माने जाते हैं। पर कुछ context के अनुसार plural भी हो सकते हैं (Few, Many etc.)

Words: Someone, Anyone, Nobody, Everyone, One, None, All, Some, Few, Many, etc.

📌 Examples:

• Somebody is waiting for you.

• Nobody knows the answer.

• Everyone was happy.

✅ अधिकतर singular माने जाते हैं। पर कुछ context के अनुसार plural भी हो सकते हैं (Few, Many etc.)

📌 Use in Sentences:

• I am a student. (1st person, subject)

Exclamatory Adjective / विस्मयादिबोधक विशेषण

आश्चर्य/भावना व्यक्त करने के लिए। ‘What’ का प्रयोग होता है।

What an idea!
